Why the Gir cow is extraordinary
Long before the words "A2 protein" became part of everyday conversations, India's indigenous cows had already earned a place of reverence. Among them, the Gir cow stands apart!
Known for its gentle nature, distinctive hump and naturally occurring A2 beta-casein protein, the Gir cow has been cherished for generations, not just for the milk it produces, but for the way it has lived alongside people for centuries.
In traditional Indian knowledge, the hump of indigenous cattle is believed to contain the Surya Ketu Nadi, a unique energy channel associated with absorbing the sun's energy. While this understanding comes from Ayurveda and ancient Indian traditions, it reflects the deep respect our ancestors had for indigenous breeds and their place in everyday life.

What makes A2 milk different?
The difference begins with the cow. Our indigenous Gir cows naturally produce milk containing A2 beta-casein protein. This has been part of Indian dairy traditions for generations and is one of the reasons indigenous breeds continue to be so highly valued.
What does "136" mean?
It's one of our favourite stories. Our Bilona Ghee is lovingly crafted during Brahma Muhurat, the sacred period 1 hour and 36 minutes before sunrise. That's why we call it 136. A reminder that some traditions are worth waking up early for.
Why is Galactica milk priced differently from regular milk?
Because our priorities are different. We choose indigenous Gir cows, allow them to graze naturally, hand-milk them with care, maintain strict quality checks, and produce milk in harmony with nature rather than chasing volume. Good things take time. Great things take care.
Why isn't your milk exactly like supermarket milk?
Because our goal isn't to make every bottle identical. Our goal is to let every bottle stay as close to nature as possible.
Why does fresh milk sometimes taste different?
